Three Irish Pubs to Visit in Honor of St. Patrick’s Day

We’re just weeks away from the upcoming St. Patrick’s Day festivities and we’re ready to nail down some plans. Luckily, Elan River District is surrounded by plenty of authentic spots to venture to for some fun and possibly a green beer (or two, or three). Put on your green garb, grab your friends and head to these local gems this year.

Poag Mahone’s

Poag Mahone’s is one of many quintessential Irish Pubs in our area and is definitely one of our favorites. They have a selection of over 100 beers and fare that is to die for. This year, they’re hosting their 11th annual Saint Patrick’s Day Madness that you have to attend. There will be live music by Poo Live Crew, Willow James, Cut Throat Finches, Pratty and a live DJ. Plus, they’re offering the fun for no cover. Will we see you there donning your green attire this year?

The Abbey Pub

The Abbey Pub is another one of our go-to spots for yearly St. Paddy’s Day celebrations. They’re one of the oldest and longest running Irish Pubs in the area, for good reason. Their selection of great beers makes pool table sessions, dart board competitions and pinball machine matches even more enjoyable. The atmosphere is incredibly authentic and we can’t wait to ring in the day at this beloved spot.

Durty Murphy’s

Another real deal Irish pub to enjoy close to home, Durty Murphy’s makes us feel so “lucky” to live in Fort Worth. They’re known for their great Guinness pour ranking and are the epitome of a close-knit, Irish community. Head here this St. Patrick’s Day and you’re sure to feel immersed in all the fun. Not to mention, their jukebox blasts Irish music to really add to the atmosphere. Sláinte!
